Bodegas Balbás dates back to 1777 with over 200 years and four generations of grape growing and winemaking experience in the Ribera del Duero. The wines come from small productions and are characterized by a careful winemaking process in which we combine the most innovative techniques with the artisanal practices passed down through the Family generation after generation.
This is how we create wines with a marked personality, unique, deep and intense.

Tasting notes
A full-bodied and savoury Tempranillo fragrant with cinnamon, clove, dark plum, ripe red berry and toasty oak spice aromas and flavours on the palate. Tannins are grippy. The name "Barrica 5" is in recognition of the fact that the wine was matured in American and French oak barrels for five months.
Pairs well with lamb chops, pastas, roast or grilled meats, sausages and casserole dishes
